Panel discussion and beatboxing workshop for careers day at Liverpool Philharmonic

The Place

Liverpool is always welcoming and the Liverpool Philharmonic venue is a beautiful building to be working in. I went straight into the green room to be briefed on the session ahead. Coffee sorted!

The Artists

I met musician and producer Mavi AKA 'Superlate' who I was about to deliver the session with. Then I met up with renowned musician, composer and arranger Katie Chatburn who was also about to deliver her session in the next room. Myself and Katie were on another project at the Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) in 2017 as part of the Garage Classical ensemble where she arranged and conducted some of the worlds most famous UK garage hits for the LIMF concert at Sefton Park - so it was great to catch up with her again!

The Session

The panel discussion started and we spoke about what is means to collaborate as a musician in our industry. This was followed by a workshop delivered by Myself, Superlate and Katie. Some amazing questions emerged towards the end about how to market yourself to an audience or get known in the music industry. Also how to use social media to keep your audience updated.

Until next time!

I have worked with Liverpool Philharmonic a few times either on their careers day or delivering sessions to their talented, youth academy orchestra. So I guess this means, until next time!
